MANATEE COUNTY, FL (April, 2026) – The Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD) Governing Board has declared a Modified Phase II “Severe” Water Shortage due to ongoing dry conditions across the region.All residents in Manatee County, including those on private wells, will be required to follow one-day-per-week outdoor watering restrictions through July 1, 2026.
In Manatee County, the standard one-day-per-week schedule is based on street address:
- Addresses ending in 0 or 1: Monday
- Addresses ending in 2 or 3: Tuesday
- Addresses ending in 4 or 5: Wednesday
- Addresses ending in 6 or 7: Thursday
- Addresses ending in 8 or 9 and locations without a discernible address: Friday
- Properties umay water only Midnight to 4AM and 8PM to 11:59PM
- Low-volume irrigation (micro-irrigation, soaker hoses, and hand watering) is allowed any day and time.
Additional provisions of the Modified Phase II Order include:
- Residential car washing is allowed only on the assigned watering day.
- Aesthetic fountains are limited to eight hours of operation per day.
- Pressure washing is allowed once per year or when preparing surfaces for painting or sealing.
Manatee County Utilities, in coordination with Code Enforcement, will enforce the water shortage restrictions. The following penalty structure will apply:
- 1st violation – Warning
- 2nd violation – $100 fine
- 3rd violation – $250 fine
- 4th and subsequent violations – $500 fine
The County is coordinating with Code Enforcement staff to ensure consistent enforcement of the Modified Phase II provisions. The order also directs local utilities to report enforcement activity to the Southwest Florida Water Management District and continue coordination with regional water supply partners, including Tampa Bay Water and the Peace River Manasota Regional Water Supply Authority.

Big Bin Trash Collection Program
Tuesdays, 6AM
One Big Bin for household trash - One Blue Bin for recyclable trash - One Bin, your choice, for yard waste.
Move bins to the curb Monday after sunset (6PM)
Remove bins from the curb no later than Tuesday sunset (6PM)
Loose bags will not be collected.
Please do not leave trash cans at curb Wed - Sun!
Bins left at the curb are a safety issue and a Manatee County Ordinance.

How Can We Address Noise Disturbances?
What is a Noise Disturbance?
Sounds that are harmful, disruptive to a reasonable person with normal sensibilities, or that unreasonably interfere with the enjoyment of life or property. The baseline for Manatee County and Pine Meadow is 60 dBA daytime and 55 dBA nighttime.
Most frequently reported noise disturbances?
Loud outdoor activities, typically rental guests, hosting parties, events, and/or large gatherings that include music, loud talking, shouting, screaming, and/or sports activities.
Who allows noise disturbances?
No one. Noise that disturbs other guests or neighbors is not allowed anywhere.
Pine Meadow Neighborhood expectations?
Pine Meadow is a quiet, residential, and highly desirable coastal community; do not allow noise on your property to disturb your neighbors.
Homeowners should be the first to know there is an issue at their home. If you rely on your neighbors to report, ask them to call MCSO #941-747-3011, x1549

How loud is loud?
Download the DECIBEL METER APP. It is not an official tool, but it does measure noise you are hearing. Try it, record sound for 30 seconds, take a screen shot. Per Manatee County, noise is measured from the receiving property, 10 ft from the fence or property line, at a height of 5 ft, for a duration of 30 seconds; noise must be continuous.
